During your initial consultation, the eye doctor will ask about your symptoms, medical history, eye health history, current medications, and any vision concerns. Depending on your condition, the visit may include vision checks, eye pressure measurement, pupil examination, retinal assessment, or other eye tests. The doctor will then explain the findings and discuss suitable next steps.
You should consider seeing an eye specialist if you have persistent blurred vision, eye pain, sudden vision loss or changes, frequent headaches linked to vision, flashes or floaters, red eyes that do not settle, double vision, or difficulty seeing at night.
